New York University graduated Nick and Alex in 1994 from the prestigious Tisch School of the Arts. Both majored in Film and Television production, but Nick focused on producing and Alex specialized in cinematography. After graduation, while travelling the world with their variety show, they found time to produce two feature films. Nick and Alex produced both of these films; Alex was director of photography as well on Olive Juice.

Olive Juice, a romantic comedy, shot in 1999 with a budget of $350,000 was self financed and distributed theatrically by United Artists & Regal cinemas. Blockbuster signed a 15-year shelf deal.

R.S.V.P., a suspense thriller, shot in 2000 with a budget of $1.3 million was investor financed and distributed by Lions Gate Films on DVD.
